These prime examples of soldiery did not make it here for Christmas. They marched left when they were supposed to march right. You can see the consternation at this monumental mistake in their eyes!

I really like this one, Lowell. Just a bit of an effect - perfect. Merry Christmas to you both!
Even though they still creep me out...I love what you wrote ;)

Quite a fun photo. They do look concerned, though.

Haha. . . I like your commentary. Really great photo and effect. You are so right about the eyes. . . a lot of emotion pent up in those baby blues.
Although one of my daughters insisted on buying me wooden soldiers for Christmas years ago, I've never been a big fan. It turns out that she didn't care for them either. Needless to say, I no longer have them. Maybe it has to do with that frozen stare.
The comments that you left on my blog are so sweet. I know that you are quite the poet yourself so they mean a lot. Thank you.
Oh my, poor fellows. They need to march over to Symphony Hall, I'm sure there is a performance of "The Nutcracker" somewhere near by and that would surely make them feel at home.
Obviously, their commanding officer should have equipped them with a GPS, or at the very least, a compass. They do look awfully dejected. You captured their emotions well. :-)
